Consider Invisalign treatment to get the beautiful smile you've always wanted — without braces.

We are a Platinum Certified Invisalign Elite Provider, which means we have treated hundreds of patients with Invisalign clear aligners.

A consultation with Dr. Holbert at our Richmond or New Kent orthodontic offices can determine if Invisalign clear aligners are right for you.

What is Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign treatment uses custom-made clear appliances that are both comfortable and nearly invisible to your friends and family. Your treatment begins with an iTero® Element™ 3D digital scan of your teeth that is used to create your personalized plan. Using this scan, Dr. Holbert will create a series of clear aligners that gradually move your teeth into their new corrected position.

Why choose Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign clear aligners are not only comfortable and nearly invisible, but unlike braces, Invisalign can be removed prior to eating and brushing. This means there are no restrictions on what you can eat and drink. Anyone who's had braces knows that everything you eat will get stuck in your braces and it takes extra time to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Also, for our teen patients who are playing sports, performing on stage, or playing an instrument, there are no braces to interfere or increase the risk of busted lips and broken wires!

How does Invisalign treatment work?

A typical course of Invisalign treatment takes 14 to 18 months. You’ll need to visit Holbert Family Orthodontics every eight to ten weeks so Dr. Holbert can monitor your progress and give you new sets of aligners.

Invisalign will only work when you're wearing your aligners. Ideally, your aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking, and brushing. It is also very important to monitor the fit of your aligners. As long as they are all fitting properly, your teeth will continue to move as we have programmed them to.

In order to create a more successful and comfortable Invisalign experience, we reduce the rate of tooth movement so that you change your aligners more frequently, have less discomfort, and your teeth tend to align faster.

Is Invisalign treatment right for you?

We have used Invisalign to treat many different types of orthodontic problems. Whether you have crowded teeth, spaces between your teeth, an excess overbite, or your front teeth don't come together, Invisalign can be used to correct your problem.
